This is the finished film along with the carefully timed piece of music we chose from- 'A guide to broad-casting.' Overall I feel this is a successful animation, with well thought out, researched imagery and good sequencing considering the time limit given. However, I think that if we'd have had another few days worth of experimentation then we would have found better ways to portray our images and ideas as a moving sequence. The inspiration gathered from particular artists has aided in our process, but I feel if we had spent more time researching the work of animators, film-makers and stop-motion artists then our ideas would have been more broadly informed. In particular I am pleased with the outcome of the piano sequence having enjoyed experimenting with the movement and positioning of the hands. I feel this section of the film is the most aesthetically affective part of our animation.
I will be using this blog to document the work I create for my unit: Time-based animation.
